May 3 - Spring Runoff -

Ski Pitz, Hwy 9 to Keele, north on Keele, follow signs , this is a great site with a small lake and lots of parking and traditionally there is a lot of buy/sell/swap activity as well. Members are reminded that we are guests and must come off the lake if skiers (paying customers) arrive, and are asked to keep the site clean.

NOTE:  In order to prevent the possibility of contaminating the Ski-Pitz water, please ensure that if your boat and/or motor has run last fall, please flush your motor and/or boat with a weak solution of Javex bleach. This will kill any zebra muscle eggs.

Due to some poor weather at other Ski-Pitz meets, don't forget to bring your rain gear. Come early, as this meet has been known to wrap up early due to bad weather.

Members  are asked to keep the site clean and note: during the last meet, damage was done to the launch area due to a boat being launched by a two-wheel drive truck. At this and any future meets at this location, only 4 wheel drive vehicles are allowed to launch boats! Thank you for caring for this private property which is made available to the club through the generosity of the owner.

Bring your boat, motors, buddies and Rolaids (for motor burgers) to this popular fun event. With reality TV being the current rage we are planning a Reality TD Challenge. If you have a running TD, TN, Elto, Gale, Viking (or similar motor of that ilk) bring it and enter - we will have a boat to run it on.

Annual General Meeting and Wet/Swap Meet, Saturday October 27,

at the Toronto Humber Yacht Club, Take the Queensway to Stephen Drive (off Queensway between Kingsway and Parklawn, across from the Ontario Food Terminal).  Turn north on Stephen, past Berry to Riverwood Parkway .  Left on Riverwood Parkway and then the first right onto Humber Valley Road (the entrance to Kingsmill park).  The meet is at the end of the road.

There is a launch ramp, but it’s a little tricky as there is no dock.  Bring all your surplus parts, motors and your list; a great place to make room and stock up for your winter projects.   Starts at 8 AM and we usually wrap up shortly after lunch, but arrive early for the best deals and stay for the chilli and meeting.  Contact Ron Gilpin crusing54@aol.com,  416 626 1671 for more information.
